my original tivo s2 hd died and so i bought another one. tivo allowed my to transfer my lifetime service since i only had it for a year to the new one and i was able to upgrade the capacity of that hd.
i found out that i could take the hd from my new tivo and connect it to the orginal tivo. it works but there were no program schedule and i didn't connect to the internet. the question is that will this work once i connect to the internet to get the program schedule and secondly, how will it effect my lifetime service now that i have two seperate tivos and is it even legal? thank you for helping a newbie
