My HR10-250 DirecTV DVR connects via HDMI to a Mitsubitshi 73727 plus a Winegard GS-2200 OTA for local HD reception feeds the HR10-250. When watching recordings of local HD shows, I get full screen pixilation every 30-120 seconds until after 15 minutes or so I can no longer view the program. It seems to be worse on the weaker signal strength channels but it does it on all local HD. The weakest signal strength I get is 60-65 for NBC, 70-80 for ABC and CBS, and a steady 71 on FOX. Is this playback pixilation because my signal strength is too weak to get a clean recording or should I be looking elsewhere for a resolution? I have recorded HD programs via satellite and rarely have the problem thus indicating an OTA related issue. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Those OTA signal readings are marginal, indicating a weak signal, or a signal with too much multipath. Your best bet is to get a better antenna, or perhaps better aiming of your current antenna. Check out the resources at http://www.antennaweb.org to see if that antenna is sufficient for your area. You can find advice from folks in the Houston area in the "Local HDTV Reception Forum" at http://www.avsforum.com. Just look for the Houston thread.
