I've been using zippered DSR 708's for a few weeks now, no major problems since I got all my hacks in place. Occasionally My wifi drops out but never anything to worry about. This morning my wife was transferring a show from the bedroom to the living room and the connection dropped out and got a hung transfer. No biggy when I got home I canceled and deleted the transfer and restarted the BR tivo and bridge. Now it is stuck in a loop where it powers all the way up, gets the Sat info shows live tv for about 5 seconds and restarts again.
Anyone have any Ideas? Short of starting from scratch I'm stumped. I'll probably need step by step because I am a linux noob

OK, so it does eventually get you to live TV, even if only for a few seconds.
What we need is the boot log to see if we can find what's killing you. Telnet comes up before you get live TV, so as it's booting, start pinging it. Once the pings start coming back as alive, start trying to telnet in. Turn on logging in your telnet client.
As soon as you get in, type "cat /var/log/kernel" and hit enter. It will scroll for some time, but we need to be sure we capture at least one or two of your previous reboots.
Zip it up, post it here, and we can go from there.

Sorry for the delay in getting back, but life has a way of creeping in.
Anyway in way of an update, The "Wife Approval Factor" dropped thru the floor so I was forced to Swap the unsubbed unit I was using as a server with the failing unit using the card from the failing unit, went thru the deactivate/activate routine with D* no problem. Anyway, got around to starting my troubleshooting this morning and wanted to verify that I still had the problem before getting the log info. So I connected in the rf out to TV, the fa120 and power and waited. I got to the failed to acquire signal from Satellite and waited a bit more. No reboot. Browsed around the NPL and tried playing a program still no reboot. So I borrowed one of my sat cables from the main unit and tried again by unplugging power and trying again. Booted up to a channel (no picture because it is unsubbed now and waited, no reboot again.
So everything is back to normal I think, now I just have to xfer all of her programs over or resubscribe. Thanks for the offer of help. I may need it again. I hate unexplained glitches like that.
