I may live in the sunny South, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't snow in Kansas in May...Maybe just in graveyards at night
notJonathan: Martha, Clark has to kill Lionel
Martha: OK. Guess you are really here even though I didn't have a near death experience.
So brainiac infused himself with lex....and the season finale is next week.

Practically everyone knows Clark's secret now. Lana and Lois are the only ones left who don't!

I think I might have fallen asleep during this episode it was so boring and obvious.

Lois had uggo makeup on again most of this episode, but was looking mighty smokin' in the final scenes with clark.

When Superman finally appears, how the heck will Lois not know that it's "Smallville"? After all, Clark isn't wearing glasses yet.
I have a feeling that Jor-El very well may mind-wipe the entire planet about Clark's powers in the series finale.

wow! we have put up with all of the feces that the last few episodes have been in order to have two meaningful episodes to end it? No doubt with a cliff hanger and the cycle of suck/blow wiill continue again in the fall.

I think they could have waited to tell us that Johnathan was really Fine until the battle between him and Lionel. It really didn't advance the plot much to reveal it after Fine visiting Martha.
Yeah, most of us probably figured it out by then anyway (I know I did) but it could have been slightly better had they did that...slightly more suspense for a couple of people out there!
All in all, wasn't really that bad of an episode. At least no FOTW.
So were the Luthors really being good guys in this episode?

Few nuances...
Lex tells Lana, I'm going to share a secret with you but you're either 100% in or 100% out. This lab is top secret. We find out that even his father can't find this lab. One commercial later, Clark asks and she tells him exactly where it is.
His friend who can hack sites on a whim, but works at a newspaper, seems to be picking up weight.
Clark is so dumb that Lionel tells him that he should visit the fortress if he wants answers, but since he doesn't want to take anyone to the fortress(including himself), he decides to let Chloe have a go at finding answers/patterns to a language that doesn't even exist on earth. All he had to do was go to the fortress, pop a crystal, ask his father, and have the same answer. Heck, his father probably could have taught him to read kryptonian or even told him when Zod was due to arrive. I can't believe that lionel wigging out and writing books worth of kryptonian wasn't a big ole CLUE to him that his dad was trying to reach him...

Didn't Clark gain the ability to read Kryptonian during a visit to the caves? Bright light coming out of the wall, going into Clark's head, etc.?

That's right - Clark learned to decipher Kryptonian during the first Christopher Reeve episode (Rosetta (http://www.tv.com/smallville/rosetta/episode/219339/summary.html)), back in season 2.

Maybe the problem was with Lionel's poor handwriting. ;)
BTW, I called "Zod is coming" as soon as I saw it was three symbols.

I think the issue was that Lionel had drawn the symbols randomly all over multiple pieces of paper. It wasn't that Clark couldn't read it, but that he couldn't see the pattern.
