The local cable company "Time Warner Cable" Redid there entire lineup and sorted the channels by groups. Now I can't record the programs I want to record because of this. I would do a report lineup on tivo.com but they are alot of channels messed up. I emailed Zap2it.com to see if they could correct there lineup soon. May 1st was when Time Warner changed the lineup. So does anyone know how fast Zap2it corrects the lineup? I just emailed them like 1 hour ago. I hope it doesn't take too long to correct.

I would suggest contacting TiVo by phone. My experience is they wanted a document or reference to see the new lineup and it took a couple days, if I remember right since I haven't had to do something like that since 2000.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna take more than an hour.

Does "All your base belong to them" too?

I called to Tivo about this and they said that someone else called in my area about the same problem 2 days ago. How long does it usually take to get this fixed?

You may have to rerun guided setup if they chnaged the lineup name.
Check the Zap2It website to see what is available in your area.
Also, for when it might be available.

When we had a similar problem it turned out that our cable company (Comcast) had calmly decided to create a new locality and switch us to it without bothering to tell us -- or our local office. So, in practice, the lineup we thought of as "ours" (for the last 10 years) hadn't changed, we just weren't a part of it any more. Even the local office was confused. ("No, that should be on channel 74" "Well, I'm staring at it right now, and it isn't!")

It took a bit of wrangling to figure out which of our listed "local lineups" to choose, but once we found out which one to tell TiVo we were assigned to, all was good.

So, while you are troubleshooting this, just to toss it into the mix -- just because the lineup you were assigned to last week is still on your list, don't take for granted that it is still "your" lineup any more, especially with someone as big as Time-Warner. Our area has 4 or 5 "Comcast" lineup choices. Maybe you got switched to a different one rather than having the lineup actually change (or, if it was a big shakeup, both things happened at once, that they changed the lineup AND reassigned you. Wouldn't surprise me that they would do it all at once.)

I wish I could remember the technical term that the cable tech used. It was something like "head feed" or such. The customer service people were useless, but the tech support people at the cable company at least understood my question, and pointed me in the right direction.

Checking out some of the other (relatively) local Time-Warner lineups in your area on Zap2It might turn up a better match.

Good luck.

Peter

Yeah, this really annoys me - it is FAR harder than it should be to find out the "name" or content of a cable lineup.

Tivo uses a list of names (not sure where they come from) for lineups and TVGOS uses a list of numbers. I've never come across a cable CSR that knew what either meant, let alone could give me the correct answer.
