I've got a slightly bad HD, MFSbackup | mfsrestore chockes on it, (about 12 read errors) and then i plug the new drive in and get a green screen.
I've been told DD or DD_rescue might work.
If my original TiVo drive is HDA and my new blank larger drive is HDB what command would i use??? (i'd be using the weaknees lba 48 disk) original disk is 200GB replacement disk would be 250GB.
i'd guess DD /dev/hda /dev/hab and some arguments, then run mfs add (with some arguments) then run sd-h400_unlock -w /dev/hdb (might not need too since source drive was already unlocked) but i'm not a linux person, however, i've got pretty good general computer skills.
little help anyone?
