I have noticed on some store bought DVDs that when playing them on my Toshiba RS-TX20 the analog audio lags behind the video. The lack of sync is more noticable when simultaneously playing the digital audio output through my stereo while also playing the analog output through the TV-----an echo is heard because the analog output lags behind. In a few cases it is so out of sync that the lip movements clearly don't match the audio (the sound from the analog connection going directly to the TV lags behind the video connected directly to the TV. This is NOT a problem with the way I have this hooked-up as both audio and video go directly from the unit to the TV). I have read on the web about such sync problems especially with Pioneer players and I noted that the DVD unit inside the Toshiba is in fact a Pioneer brand. Has anyone else noticed this problem?? If this is a widespread problem, which I suspect it is, enough waves could prompt Toshiba or TiVo into seeing if a firmware upgrade could correct this issue.
