Looks like Tivo has done a very nice job on revamping the "Buy Tivo" section of the web site.

Nicely done with the choice of units and upgrade fee.

I agree. It's super simple. Either start with hardware, or with pricing plan.

Hopefully it will make gifting tivo easier too!

And the header and navigation bar shouldn't say "Why a phone line?" any more either. Maybe "Why a connection?", but Tivo needs to make sure people understand a POTS line can be used, but isn't required.

And, some should clarify here that lifetime is available for purchase only on previously -unactivated Humax DVD units:

And while they are at it, on that same page they need to note that the DT models can't use antenna inputs.

But I agree with your initial post -- the way they've structured the deals makes a lot of sense.
