Ive upgraded to HD & Love it.
Problem is, in my 480i life, I had 2 signals coming off my Tivo series 2 box.
1 going to the host TV in living room.
1 going to the slave TV in kitchen.

I dont want an additional box in the kitchen due to space, look & cost.

BUT, the HR10-250 has 2 outputs (HDMI & Component), but only 1 is active at a time!
Any suggestions on how to remedy this? I bought a new HD monitor for the kitchen, but now cant use it until I figure out how to split the signal.

The Kitchen unit would need to terminate in Component as this is the input I have for that TV. Id prefer to keep the living room in DVI.

1. Can this be done?
2. If I split a signal, is there integrity loss of quality?

Any & All Help is appreciated!

Well, here's a Geffen HDMI splitter (http://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=2514), and a Geffen component splitter (http://sewelldirect.com/gefen-component-splitter-1x3.asp). No idea how well they would work, but they were in the first few google searches (for "hdmi splitter" and "component splitter" respectively).

Thank you, good input.

Do you know if there is any signal loss issues that will accompany splitting an HD signal?
It also means I have to downgrade the TV input to Composite (From DVI), as the Tivo will only output 1 signal & I have to use that for both sets. Unless there is a software upgrade or way to internally rig it, I dont see a way around that?

I'm using Component and Composite at the same time, but that only works when the unit is outputting 480i.

Just hit the direction down to change output res. I plan on doing something similar, in which case I will just direction down until I see video on my 480i set.

Actually I think there is a hack that will allow the HDMI and Component to be active at the same time. You need to search the 'other' site...

I am having a similar issue. My 2nd TV has a coax input and Svideo and analogue video and audio ports. Can someone tell me what my best option with the HD-250 would be for the 2nd signal TV?

Cable length is going to limit which option will work best, but assuming the TV 2 is next to TV 1, in order of PQ, SVideo, Composite, RF (coax). Of course, for coax you need some sort of RF modulator- a VCR will do, or you can buy a dedicated one pretty cheaply. Assuming you don't watch both TV's at the same time, you can switch to 480i to enable SVideo/composite when you watch TV 2. Then you don't have to worry about enabling all outputs at the same time.

Here are the instructions for enabling both Component and HDMI at the same time (for those who wondered about it):

Thank you! Works perfectly. I already had the converter. I hooked it up a while ago and it did not work. When I switched it over to 480I, it worked perfectly. :o
