My HR10-250 and triple-LNB dish were installed today. Despite what I was told by the Retention Center rep, I cannot receive the HD east or west coast feeds. Because of my location (San Francisco within 2 miles of Sutro Tower), I cannot receive my HD locals via OTA antenna. It would virtually impossible to install the new 5-LNB MPEG-4 dish because of my Victorian’s pitched roof and it would dangerous for the installer unless he had some way to suspend himself from the roof. I can only pick up the reflected signal of the NBC affiliate located approximately 10 miles away with a Zenith Silver Sensor.
What can I do to get the HD networks without losing my SD east/west coast feeds? The local TV stations are aware there are parts of San Francisco that have problems. Unfortunately, I live in one of them. I was given SD waivers years ago because I live in the Dead Zone.
