Transfers fail at 14KB

Tivo Series 2 hard wired to the network.

I've tried both the Tivo Desktop and the TivoPlaylist - same thing happens to more than 50% of my transfers.

It will stop at only 14KB of transferring. This happens with any length of show.

Any ideas?

OK, I'm kinda thinking while I'm typing here. If it happens with two different programs (and on two different comuters BTW), I'm thinking it's either a problem with the Tivo itself, or the network adapter. It's a Farallon USB adapter, and I've never heard of that brand, nor have any experience with it.

Is there a recommended USB adapter?

I would recommend the Netgear FA120. (Personally I own a Linksys USB 200M v1, but it is a little flimsy looking.)

Thanks - I order a Netgear. Let's hope it helps - my drives are full!!!
