I did some reseach on this and compared it to the 659 which I have now. The 659 has the FF button directly to the right of the Play button so it's easy to find for FFing. On the 628 the FF key has been moved up and to the right. I don't think I want to have to bounce back and forth between those two positions when FFIng through commercials and parts of a show.

Deal breaker for me...darn. Thanks for posting the notice though!

Can't find a clear picture showing button layout of this one.

Can the buttons be remapped so the play button is sandwiched between the rew and ff.

Not real crazy about these remotes but $50 is tempting.

The placement of the play/FF/RR buttons seems odd. I don't think it would be comfortable to use with a TiVo if you FF/RW a lot.

I got the 628 for Xmas. I remapped the R arrow (immediately above the play) for FF and the L arrow for REW. I then mapped the FF to R arrow and the REW to L arrow. This mimics my Motorola 6412 HDTV remote performance on the 628 and is easier to use. Of course, the peanut is best, but 628 is fairly handy for turning everything on at once.
