Why are they wasting money on stupid online text editors or stupid 3d software like sketch3d that they just made free when they could be focusing on TV.

They already have a video service. Plus, Google is an ad company so in a sense, they compete with television.

WHat is it that google has, the 80-20 split? where 80% of the time you work on what they tell you or such. and 20% you do whatever project you want. That's where a LOT Of the random stuff google has came from. It's EXTRA in their eyes.

I think the maps, and the SMS stuff came from that.

So I'm assuming this did, so it's pure bonus for them.
