Help! I've fallen into guided setup, and I can't get up.

I bought a refurb hdr212 on Ebay. I 've managed to install a new 250g HD and image with msftools. Now I am stuck in the guided set up screen. It made an initial call ok and d/l sotware. Then it asked me to call customer service. Since then It will not connect and says "call failed" every time I try to finish giuided setup.

Is it because I am in Canada and I have no zip code that matches my prefix?

Is there some hack or way to get past this guided setup screen?

I have tried different antenna and satellite setups as per other posts but no joy.

Yuo need a proxy hack to be able to use a Canadian postal code.

Thanks, I searched the forums and can't find anything on "proxy hack" I think you mean a network card of some sort?

Is there a different image I could put on the harddrive that would bypass the setup screen?

Thanks for the reply...I've registered over at tivo canada but I can't see any of the forums, I guess it takes a day or two to set up over there.

I take it from your reply that it doesn't matter what image I put on the drive I am still going to end up in guided setup?
