No folder for transferred shows

I have a bedroom tivo, and living room tivos. On each of the tivos, folders are turned on in the "Now Showing" list.

When I transfer most shows from the living room tivos to the bedroom, they end up in the appropriate folder (for example, I had about 20 episodes of "Lost" on the living room tivo, and none on the bedroom. After transferring all of them, they were all in one "Lost" folder on the bedroom tivo. However, when I transfer "Freddie", they end up at the top level of the Now Showing. If I hit the Info button on the remote, they all have the same show title "Freddie", which is what I thought that it used to group them.

My understanding is that when the TiVo transfers a show to another TiVo, not all of the associated information is transferred (for example the series ID code, which the TiVo uses to group shows isn't transferred). Instead the receiving TiVo tries to pull this information out of its stored guide data.

What this means in practice, is that if you transfer episodes onto a TiVo that doesn't have those episodes in its stored guide data, they won't be grouped together. The receiving TiVo might not have them either because it is on a different lineup (maybe one TiVo get HBO and the other doesn't), or because the transfer occurred long enough after the episode aired that the associated stored guide data has already been removed.

The episodes of "Lost" were over an equally long timeframe, and they grouped fine. I will try xferring to a different tivo, to see if it groups on that one. Thanks for the reply...
