Attempted to transfer recording but failed mid stream. I deleted recording to start over, but could not select same recording to transfer. I deleted it from my computer Tivo Recordings directory and exited Tivo Desktop. Ran Tivo Desktop again and when I attempted to select recording to transfer again it cannot be selected since details unavailable. It is still on my recordings on Tivo (via TV) but I cannot select it to transfer to the PC. What can I do to get this recording transferred to my PC?

I'm having the same problem, and now have three shows "stuck" on my TIVO that I had wanted to transfer to my PC. And a 4th show I was loading to a DVD for a friend who missed an episode of American Idol that I finally gave up on. I hope someone knows how to fix the problem, but I'm guessing this is a Tivo To Go software bug. There is nothing in the help files that help you troubleshoot when a show fails to transfer.

Check the thread titled "Can't transfer a recording to PC" It details that you should delete all files in the following folder:
<drive with profiles, usually C>:\Documents and Settings\<profile name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Tivo Desktop\Cache
Note that the "Local Settings" folder is hidden, and can only be seen by showing hidden files through your menus:
Tools-> Folder Options
On the "View" tab, update the setting for hidden folders and files to show them
This should be done with the Tivo Desktop software NOT running. Once you delete the files, start Tivo Desktop again and all should be well.
I just did this (I'm running Tivo Desktop 2.2) to recover a show's info and transfer it.
Good luck,
Tivo Luver :)

Does this work with Tivo Desktop 2.6.2? I tried clearing the Cache and also rebooted. I still can't see the whats on my Tivo but I can see my laptop on both tivos.
