I've seen it power off at 11:20 PM, 11:40 PM and 10:20 PM

What would cause this? I don't see a menu setting for an automatic restart?

It's really annoying as you can imagine.

Is it overheating? Check the internal temp on the System Info screen.

Does it have something like a temperature "wizard" that tells me normal temp?

If not, what should the normal temp be?

It is between my DVD player and my receiver, so that could be the problem.

The System Information screen shows the internal temperature. Anything below 50C is good, but it's better if it's below 40C. It will say "normal" until 60C.

If the Tivo detects that it is overheated, the behavior I have seen is that it shuts down (mostlyt) but leaves a message on the screen saying it is overheated.

Ah I see.. Mine simply powers off, and restarts as if it were unplugged, then plugged back in.

None of my other A/V components are affected.

Ahh, not shuts down completely, that's a different ball of wax. You may be suffering from the random reboots many folks are seeing. See here (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=292962) for more details. They're working on an update to the software to address the issue.

I think this problem is *extremely* common with 7.2.2. A patch is forthcoming.
