TIVO brand Wireless-G Adaptor

Hi,

I'm having problems connecting my wireless adapter. I have a series 2 Tivo, and have no problem connecting via a wired adapter, however my wireless adapter is not recognized by Tivo. I get an error telling me that I don't have a wireless adapter connected.

I've tried restarting with the adapter plugged in, but no luck. I've downloaded the most recent updates. This is a Tivo brand wireless-G adapter. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

What version of the TiVo software do you have? (From the System Information page) Do the LEDs on the adapter light up?

The LED on the adapter do light up. As for the software, I'll have to check when I get home from work, but I ran the guided setup and downloaded the latest software last weekend.

I didn't experience any problems with the one I installed.

I installed one last Saturday, I plugged it in with the TiVo on. It was recognized, a message was displayed asking if I wanted to set up the adapter. I did it found three wireless networks. I attached to correct one. This unit had only had one phone connection so once I was on the network I forced a daily call and received the programmming guide and the 7.2.2 upgrade. It wanted a reboot and went through the indexing next.
