If I either post the error log or private message it to someone, can I get some help figuring out where the problem lies, please? I've tried transcoding/burning 4 episodes of The Daily Show (all recorded at "Medium" quality) using a combination of VideoRedo and Nero Vision and I was 0-2. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Sure Ill take a look at your Nero Error Log, feel free to email it to my "junk email" address posted below, please do not take offense to the name, but when I post a email address online so much junk mail appears, its easier for me to not worry about more to my normal address lol. However, be sure your subject line refers to TIVO/NERO usage, as the filter I just set up will allow that subject line through
Add the log file as an attachment, and within the email, tell me what problems you are running into.
I have spent way too many hours messing with these TiVo video files and Nero, and have made about every mistake I could have, finding solutions to most problems I ran into.

rmccann - did you ever have the problem with Nero where the video and audio are out of Sync? I burned a few .avi files (not tivo) using Nero and over time the video and audio lose sync, which is very frustrating. I thought it might be a codec issue, but I am not positive. I am going to remove Nero and try out a different version unless you have any other suggestions.

Jkalnin, I just went through the audio synch issue with Nero Vision 4. After some googling and trying different fixes, none of which fixed the problem, I downgraded to Nero Vision Express 3 which did fix the problem.

I have had a lot of problems with MyDVD transcoding Tivo files. It's incredibly slow. And I never could figure out how to edit out commercials. Finally, I gave up on it entirely. Now I use 3 programs to accomplish this task. Although it's a 3-step process, the speed savings make it worthwhile. First, I use DirectShow Dump Utility to strip the Tivo wrapper and give me an mpeg files that I can work with. This program is free and can be found at http://prish.com/etivo/tbr.htm. Second, I use VideoReDo to remove commercials and output the result to a commercial-free mpeg. This program can be found at http://www.VideoReDo.com. Third, I use ConvertXtoDVD to convert the mpeg to DVD format that is burnable by any DVD creation program. This program can be found at http://www.vso-software.fr. Personally, I prefer CloneDVD2 as a burning program. This program can be found at http://www.slysoft.com. I hope this information is useful. Please feel free to re-post this information anywhere else that it might me useful.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
