I'm upgrading a 540040 from a single 40 gb to a single 120 gb hard. I am using the Weaknees method.
The process was going smooth, however, around the 15% point, the computer began displaying the following error:
end_request: I/O error, dev 3:00 (hda), section XXXXXXXXX
This repeats page after page with a differing non-looping sector.
Is this simply because there is no data for that sector to restore from the 40 gb to the 120 gb?
Occasionally, it goes back to normal, and I can see the current percentage complete.
