These questions are probably answered but i just want to double check. Can series2 tivo with home media play video files stored on your pc?
The tivo offer for the series2 with 1 - 3 year commit, can you get two tivos under this plan with no up front costs, just the monthly commit charge?
Anyone with directv-tivo ever swapped out d-tivo for a reg dtv box and used the stand alone series2? That way you still have a directv like tivo but also home media features.
I wonder if dtv would give you receivers in place of your d-tivos with no charge?
(if going to use stand-alones with dtv receivers)
One more, does this no up front tivo offer for the $16- $19 a month include home media?

Yes - but it's not quite simple...if it's a file from Tivo - to PC - Back to Tivo that is very simple - if it's a file on the PC - see this link

I used to have this...SA (stand alone) tivos have the ability to control a directv box - see which model number direct tv box you have and check the FAQ's to make sure it's compatible.

Don't know

Yes, if it is an MPEG 2 with specific parameters, or a .tivo file from any TiVo on your account.

Sure. There is no MSD discount though for additional bundle or prepaid DVRs though. You can buy a DVR and sub it alongside a bundled unit and get the MSD though.

With the lack of dual tuners (cooperative scheduling), cheaper rate, and analog recording.

Likely not, howver you can sell the DirecTV TiVos and buy receivers with the proceeds.

Yes. No service features are compromised with the bundle plans.
