I converted ScaryMovie4 from the file I got from BitTorrent to an MPG using Videora.

Audio and Video are fine on the converted file when played on the PC, but after transferring to TiVo, the audio dialogue and sound sounds muffled (sound's like everyone is underwater).

I checked the original file and that too is fine on the PC?

I have successfully watched mpg's on my TiVo before without "tweaking" any audio settings?

Is there something special I need to do for this file?

Maybe try to transfer it again?

That is an odd problem.

Here is what I ran into with the same problem I had. Below is the file information from a video transferred from TiVo to my computer. The Video Resolution is 1/2Sat. (Or what ever they call it)

I have transferred videos with these specs to the TiVo and they played fine. However converting from a AVI to MPG, has always caused me problems except where the Video Resolution is 720X480 (bit rate up to 5800), BUT the audio is exactly as listed below.

Good Luck!

Resolution : 352x480
Codec : MPEG 2
FPS : 29.97
BitRate : 2539 Kbps
Quality Factor : 0.51 b/px

[Audio]
Codec : MPEG 1 Layer 2
Number of channels : 2
Sample Rate : 48000 Hz
BitRate : 112 Kbps

P.S. To see this file information I use a freeware program called "Video Inspector"
