I posted on a different forum, and was redirected to this one. You can find the full message here X-Post (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=296357). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You need to either modify your Linux to recognize MFS partitions or plug the drive into an EIDE port and boot one of the all-ready modified MFSTools Linux boot CD's. I don't think that the MFSTools CD have support for USB drives. You should look at the stickies at the top of this forum there is some important do's and don'ts there.

Your other options giving up on keeping your recordings and settings
Purchase a pre-loaded drive from Weaknees or PTV Upgrade.
Purchase InstantCake from PTV Upgrade
Get a image for another user see need an image (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=542436&&#post542436)

For a step by step guide on upgrading see WeaKnees Interactive Online TiVo Upgrade Instructions (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=141538)
