DTivo sluggish remote response

It's about a 4 year old Philips.

First it was long time to schedule recordings. Chalked it up to too many Season Passes (50 or so).

Now, channel changes and even navigating the programming guide takes a long time. It's not just changing the channels. It could take 10 seconds before the first number I entered registers on screen.

I could punch the channel number and the 3 digits show up. But I push enter and it takes awhile for it to register the "enter."

Is this thing dying?

Try these things:

Fresh batteries in the remote.
Reboot the TiVo.
Make sure there is not another remote in the room that is interfering. (Yes, another remote wedged under a couch cushion has been the problem on this forum before.)

You could also do a Clear & Delete (as a last resort.)

Clear and Delete?

I know it's not the batteries on the remote because the TV controls are as responsive as ever.

Will try the reboot.
