I have an HR10 250 and a t60 that I was thinking about putting on ebay for sale. Since DTV is in a lease program right now, would these 2 items sell?

I'm sure they will sell. But, not necessarily what you may want for them. :)

Jimspence,
Do you know if DirecTV will allow me to activate a used HR10-250 such as this without paying leasing fees?

If you send it to me I will dispose of it properly. :D

Jimspence,
Do you know if DirecTV will allow me to activate a used HR10-250 such as this without paying leasing fees?If a unit is purchased from eBay then it shouldn't be considered a leased unit. Getting that setup with a DirecTV CSR is a different problem. :)

I'll second that.

I've had mine activated for a little over a month, and already had to call them 3 times to get it "unleased".

Just make sure you talk to the "Access Card Department". THey are the only ones that can change the status and not have it revert back automatically.

i'm shocked no one has offered him anything. T60s are great and so are the hdtivos

you can activate anything as owned if you tell them you got it online...that's the magic word ( at least in my case)...or just say you paid 800 for the hdtivo..that's what the guy said to me...if i paid that much it's owned not leased (huge rolleyes as if i paid 800 today, i'd be nuts!)

I made an offer, but he hasn't taken me up on it yet! :D

I'm going through offers but since I have no idea the cost, it's hard for me to make a decision. I know I paid $400 for ithe high def in august, and the t60 I stopped using because I got the high def. I switched to cable and have a regular receiver I need to get rid of as well.

well they are new 398 at newegg and lease is 499 from directv...hopefully that will give you a better idea what they are worth..how did you get out of the 2 yr commitment when you signed up for hdtivo in august?
