I am believing that my DVR's HD is starting to die. I called D* and was working with the Tech to establish this after that was done it was determined that it at minimal was not working. When they said they would send me out a replacement they stated it would be the R15. When I protested they said they could get me a TIVO, but I had to agree to a two year contact. What a crock. I am having them send it out, but am calling retention prior to activating. Any thoughts?

You might want to consider replacing the hard drive yourself. If you still have the stock drive then now would be a good time to go with a larger drive. You shouldn't have to commit to any contract extension just because you want a Tivo instead of the DTV POS DVR.

Yes you may want to get a new HD from weaknees! I upgraded my SA Phillips myself - had never done anything like that before! Now I am thinking about doing an upgrade on my DirecTivo!

Or use www.newreleasesvideo.com/hinsdale-how-to to do the upgrade yourself.
