Sony SAT T60 power failure

My SAT T60 keeps booting up fine, runs OK for maybe 10 minutes and then powers off and re-boots again. It's as if the power is being switched off and then on continuously.

Any advice/tips for a technical novice?

Typical symptom of hard disk failure causing reboots. You can buy a replacment drive with all the software on it from www.ptvupgrade.com or www.weaknees.com, along with installation instructions.

Also, check and re-seat the white ribbon cable that connects the motherboard to the power supply. I replaced hard drives, and still had the same problem. I finally replaced the cable, and haven't had a problem since.
