Did anyone get this software upgrade that D*supposedly did last year? I waited with baited breath but to no avail!

Thanks,

Ummm... Yeah. Looks like you missed the boat. Everyone with that model should have this by now. Do you keep your phone line plugged in?

As the previous post stated, you can only get it now by phone. You can force it by going to your phone setup and forcing the daily call now. It can take more than an hour to download. It will not take effect until 2:00 am the next morning.

Tivosbest: That's not how I just got it on my new 300gb drive. I simply forced a phone call, waited for an hour while it downloaded, then restarted the DTivo when prompted. 6.2 came up immediately. 265 hours of Tivo goodness :)

Be aware that it will take over an hour to complete the install process, so waiting for the auto-install won't interfere with your evening's TV watching.

(But, I'm with you Dkerr24 - I was too impatient to wait for the 2am install.)

The major difference is that you can now sort your Now Playing List using Folders. DirecTivos still don't have HMO or any networking features, and probably never will (without hacks).

Pretty much Folders and better speed is what came with 6.2. Now if you want some other stuff you will have to go to the Underground and see what you can do with it.
