i'm giving my brother in law my hdr 212. obviously it's a series 1 with a modem. he doesn't have a landline or voip service at his house, only broadband and cellphone.
he'd like to keep the wireless option under $100
he'd like to hook it up wirelessly to his network. he has a wireless router
what are his options?

i'm guessing:
airnet is an option, but i don't like how i need to find a prism based wireless card and then add an external antenna.

what i was thinking was turbonet, then getting a wireless bridge like this one:

would that work?

also, what about X-factor card they have on ebay?
is it an ok substitute for turbonet or is it crap?

(sorry about the double post in the upgrade forum, but i need to know and i didn't get any responses yet)
thanks ahead of time

I worry about anything that touts itself as "like"

There were some turbonet cards on eBay about 10-12 days ago.

thats what i was figuring, i'll just go with a true turbonet card.
so, if his wireless router is configured for dhcp, which it is, i could just plug in the bridge, then use the ,#401 code so it will dial out using the adapter instead of the modem, correct?

Yes that is all I did when I installed my turbonet card.
