Temporarily Stop Tivo From Recording?

My IR blasters stopped working and I'm waiting to get a new set in the mail. Since Tivo can't change the channel, all the recordings its doing are useless. How can I stop Tivo from recording until I get this fixed?

You could remove the items from the to do list,.... Or unplug it?

I think the only way to stop it recording is to unplug it.

I'm new to this so I could be wrong, but can't you just change the channel manualy? The cable box we have allows you to automaticly change the channel at a specified time. I don't know obviously if your system allows this but if it does it would just mean an extra step when setting up a recording. After programing the TiVo to record what you want to watch, you then program the box to change the channel automaticly at the same time.
