Very LOW volume on recorded shows

I was playing back a show that was recorded today and I have to turn the Tivo volume up to about 85 to hear anything. Normally I comfortably watch TV at around 15. I checked everything that was recorded today -- it all has the same problem. Shows that were recorded yesterday (and before) play at a normal volume.

What could be wrong?

I've restarted the Tivo -- no help.

The Live TV plays fine; I can even rewind the live TV and it's playback volume is fine.

I'm stumped.

It's probably that the cable company misadjusted the audio level on that channel during that particular show. Is it recording other programs correctly now?

It's more than one channel -- from 2am this morning -- until 6 pm tonight -- anything that was recorded is messed up. It did record a show correctly tonight. Hopefully the restart fixed everything.
