One of cable's big yearly events ... The National Show is being held this week in Atlanta.

Lots of announcements / demos / etc. Lots of technology (nDVRs, switched broadcast, OCAP, etc) being highlighted.

BTW, Tivo is listed as an exhibitor ... it'd be interesting to see / know what they are exhibiting:

I have been hoping this is where the DT is announced...It would be an odd place for it ...

The National Show would be a place to focus on their software for cable partners (like Comcast).

Or perhaps they are exhibiting the non-series 3.... Comcast/Motorola-TIVO Enabled CableCo DVR.

I can't seem to tell the difference between NCTA and NCTC. :o

NCTC is a co-operative for buying services and hardware for smaller member cable companies. (www.cabletvcoop.org)

The NCTA is the principal trade association for the cable industry. (www.ncta.com)

Not to be confused with the NCTA - The Northern California Translators Association. (www.ncta.org)
