Hey all new poster, just couldn't think of anywhere else better to ask this question since the call center doesnt seem to be open yet. Two weeks ago I purchased a lifetime subscription card from best buy for 299.00 dollars. I called and had it activated using that card and all was fine. Today I wake up and find another 299 dollars missing from my bank account and was given to Tivo Inc. Why in the world would they charge me twice for this? and is there something I can do to rectify the situation. Thanks.

I assume the missing $299 was from a credit card they had on file? Just contact credit card company and dispute the charge. I would first try TiVo and see what they have to say.

Do try to resolve this through TiVo first.

I called tivo today finally when they opened, some how the operator who took my gift card number got confused, or something and charged it as a normal lifetime. They wanted me to just return the gift card, but finally agreed to reenter the giftcard and credit me back he $299.00. Unfortunately it is said to take 14 buisness days, what a mess. At least it's resolved.

It sounds like they're getting you taken care of (believe it or not, the 14 days bit is pretty common dealing with cards). If you have any further trouble, send a PM to TiVoOpsManager (you can find him most often in the Coffee House forum). Several TiVo employees post there regularly and often step up to the plate to help people resolve problems like yours.
