Minor ch 94 annoyance

I was looking at ch 94 the other day (nothing on of course) looking to see what might be showing up concerning SNY HD and YESHD. My HR10-250 reported the "searching for signal" message, not a "not available in your area" or some other type of message. Not even the "Channel not available" message. So it seems that if a particular channel is turned off, the receiver still reports the problem on screen. Then if you swap tuners, that searching message is still there. So if you see this message, your other tuner might just be on a turned off channel such as 94. Does it on ch 96 too!

On the plus side, you can use this to find out which tuner is being used.:)

Turn to ch. 95 Jim. You should see the Cavs-Nets game on YES-HD, even though the guide doesn't say so. If you don't see anything, try a restart.

Come to think of it, I had to do a restart this week because a MLBEI game in HD wasn't showing up, D-backs-Rockies on Wed. night IIRC. I was getting that "Searching for signal on Sat. 1". Started a thread here about it.

Ch 95 is okay. I was just mentioning the weird behavior for chs 94 and 96. Usually if a channel isn't available you get the "Channel is unavailable" message, but with these two you get the searching message. I don't have a problem, this is just a weird situation.

Right now, I'm getting the "searching for signal" on 94, 95, and 96. There's supposed to be programming on 95, and I'm getting error messages, even after a Restart.

The thing is I checked the guide last night while watching the NBA games on ESPN-HD and I saw the Cavs-Nets game there for 1PM today, this was prior to the 2AM guide download. I check it this AM and it's gone, but the game was available on ch. 95. I pity anyone who set the game to record because it probably got wiped out. Sloppy on DirecTV's part.

Must be a Directv thing. I am getting the same ifo on those channels 94,95,96.
