what version of software does tivo ship with?

Anybody know what version of software the tivos ship with? is it 7.2.2? the reason i ask, is because i have a Linksys 200M V.2 usb to ethernet adapter, and when i plug it into the Tivo, it saids it's unsupported.

Are you getting it directly from TiVo? That may make a difference. I doubt anything you get at a tore will have this new version. I recently picked up four boxes and none of them had 7.2.2. They had 7.2 i think - there were two upgrades that they since dowloaded to get to 7.2.2.

7.2 is the latest SW that we've shipped with. You will need to complete initial Guided Setup with a different adapter supported by 7.2 or by using the phone line. You should know that it will take two more connections following initial guided setup in order to receive the 7.2.2 software update (the first connection get the full program data slice).

Out in the retail world, it is still possible to find units preloaded with older versions of SW, such as 5.3. You can tell if a retail unit comes w/7.2 by reading our online article (http://customersupport.tivo.com/knowbase/root/public/tv2054.htm?).
