Any one know if the HR10-250 is getting this new feature too? It only mentions series two boxes.

Letter from the Editor
April already? Time for some serious spring cleaning. And that goes for your Now Playing List, too. You know you've been saving that finale of Friends now for an uncomfortably long time. It'll air again — and you'll appreciate the magic even more. So get busy with that CLEAR button, already...

WITH the confidence that, "You've got a "Recently Deleted" Folder!" (Feel free to read that again with your best AOL impersonation, if inspired.) That means if you ever "accidentally" delete something, you can now recover it at the bottom of your Now Playing List, in a folder called (go figure) the "Recently Deleted Folder"! But don't worry, when your TiVo® box needs more space, the shows in this folder will go first (for real, this time).

Too bad this newsletter didn't go out BEFORE April 1st, huh? Because I know that despite my imploring, your sentimental self is not going to delete that Friends episode after all. But it sure would've been fun to fool your beloved. I know your TiVo tricks and your manners.

In case you don't see a Recently Deleted Folder just yet, don't freak out: The update is currently being rolled out to all subscribers with a Series2™ box. If you can't stand the wait, we've got this Priority List all ready-and-waiting for you. We love you like that.

Word to the (Marshmallow) Peeps,
Shanan

This is for standalone TiVo boxes and not for DirecTiVo boxes. DirecTV is no longer updating the software on the DirecTV DVR with TiVo.

This is one of the features all tivo boxes should of had for some time. Being able to undelete is one of the best features of TivoWebPlus. For those of you thinking about hacking your units TWP is a must have app.

Clearly it appears that this is the case, but has there ever been any official word to this effect from DirecTV?

I have a SA S2 and I find this feature a big old yawner. If I had people clearing out my recordings, I might feel differently, but now it's a two-step process to truly delete shows. I don't think they'll ever come a time when I'm going to want to retrieve airings of the local 11PM News. There should be a setting in the Season Pass so that I can tell TiVo to completely delete shows for a given show. Free Space Indicator is something I want a lot more than this.

I agree. A Free Space Indicator would be nice. I am always wondering how much space I have left before older stuff gets deleted or new shows don't record.

Since each kind of programming takes up differing amounts of space, I think the free space indicator would have to be based on a percentage of drive space remaining, much like a PC. For now, I just use the Tivo suggestions as a guide.
