The first time Billy went into that diner, why did he ask for the manager? Didn't make sense to me.
The crew seemed to work pretty well together on the track job. I wonder if Amy and her team will get put on that too, or maybe there are other cops in LA.
Also: Is Ricky going to tell the rest of the crew about the two cops following him?

When the one guy locked himself in the safe at the end I almost cancelled my season pass right there.
Comparing this to Thief on FX, Thief KILLS IT!
But I will still watch a little longer.

previews for next week
They seem to have a timer on how much time/air he has left in there exactly, and pops has to get him out
I might have to cancel SP next week :)

The manager called the cops earlies (not shown) to complain about the thugs robbing the neighborhood restaurants.
Rickey, being the stupid idiot that he is, propably won't be telling the crew about the cops.

You know, watching the recap, it occurred to me how stupid it was for Mickey to give a bonus to the driver for getting caught.
Yes, I realize it was because he's going to jail but he essentially rewarded him for failure.

I think the payment was to: A: Make up for lost wages B: Keep him happy so he doesn't rat them out

Yes, I realize it was because he's going to jail but he essentially rewarded him for failure. And it is less money than the driver would have expected if he was a participant in the successful heist.
Yes, his payment would have been lower for the test run if he'd succeeded, but his cut of the robbery would have been hugely larger. This was definitely a consolation prize. (Unless the robbery fails, in which case he might have made out the best financially).

And it is less money than the driver would have expected if he was a participant in the successful heist. The driver was never intended to be part of the heist. He was just there as a test driver. (And Mickey knew he might fail, or else he would have used Pops.)

It doesn't really make sense to prove that this apparently really great driver can run the route without getting stopped, if you then use a much less capable driver during the actual heist.

I thought he was going to be the getaway driver for the heist as well.I definitely didn't get that. After all, he was getting paid for this test job. The others aren't getting paid--they're just part of the team.
The thing I don't understand is why they need to worry about the getaway at all. Aren't they planning to rob the places in such a way that it's not immediately obvious that they were robbed? If so, why draw attention to yourself with a speeding car?

Yeah but it's still rewarding him for failure.
The bonus should have been if he succeeded, otherwise his incentive is reduced.
Yes there are potential lost wages if he's caught, that's why he has to balance risk vs. gain.
And I'm not sure he could really rat them out that much. What's he going to tell the cops?
All he really knows is that Mickey is planning a heist.

He does know where the warehouse is...and that James and Pops are in on it...
