Preserving Programs

I recently had an HDMI failure and received a replacement HR10-250 from Directv. I was hoping someone could direct me to the proper thread to help me transfer my programs to the new hard drive.

I tried simply switching the drives, but after the tivo boots I get a hardwear error.

Unless you hacked it to turn off the encryption before making the recordings, you can't. The recordings are tied to the DVR that recorded them.
