Rory goes back to Logan. That was quick. Like I said in the previous episode, he thought that they were broken up. At least she could see that. Obviously, she's still hurt, but she can't explain that to Logan, so it looks like she's freezing him out. Lorelai is going to do the same thing with Luke. Proving, once again, that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
I have to go to work. I'll post more from there.

I really, really enjoyed this episode but I can't quite pin down why. I loved seeing the Gilmores over for dinner at Lorelai's. And I also liked Mrs. Kim forcing Zach to write a song before he could ask Lane to marry him. Lots of good dialogue in the episode too.
I was a little disappointed that Rory went back to Logan. I wanted to see more of an internal struggle there before deciding to stay with him, but that may still be to come, I guess.

I must always preface this by saying my wife makes me watch this show... ;)
Having said that, I like the dynamic between Zach and Mrs. Kim. "She's really hot -- but not in a slutty way..."
I, too, was a little surprised/disappointed to see Rory so quickly go back with Logan, but I guess that's not resolved yet.
Finally, I just couldn't see Luke carrying that bowling-alley-looking duffel bag...

I do not know why, either. It just worked for me. And for me, the jury is still out with Logan. Rory is presented with all of this logical reasoning from Logan about "the break," logical reasoning she can't ignore. But part of her is still feeling, plain and simple, yucked out. Break up or no break up, cheating or not, it still is pretty disgusting that Logan hopped into 3 different beds. I can see how she would feel conflicted.
Loved Zach and Mrs. Kim, the Gilmores eating "Pasta alla Sookie," the "Final Destination" riffs, and of course, Paris! It stinks what is happening between Luke and Lorelai, but I can see it happening. Luke has always been compartmentalized, but it is getting sort of hard to like him these days:)
Aside from that--I think the show felt more natural tonight and more like its old self. Alot of fun.

Lorelai is trying to be the supporting fiance. However, she's giving in too easily. I think she's afraid she'll lose Luke if she pushes. When she pushed over his "Dark Day" she almost lost him. She's trying very hard not to push. Rory is trying to get her to push, but Lorelai just won't budge. She's going to walk away if Luke doesn't wise up and see that Lorelai is hurt over the whole "not sharing that part of his life" thing.
Rory does realize the logic behind Logan's sleeping with his sister's friends. I didn't really get that he slept with all 3 during the break, but that all 3 have slept with him in the past and one of them was during the break. I could be remembering wrong. I deleted that episode, so I can't go back and watch it to see. Rory is doing what Lorelai is doing - not sharing her feelings for fear of jeopardizing the relationship. I believe that Logan loves Rory. His actions while living together show it. I see his indiscretions as part of his unwillingness to grow up and live in the mold that his father is trying to force him into. If he acts the young playboy, he can put off the inevitable - well, at least he can try. It keeps him from having to face it. Rory is causing him to grow up. She will make him realize his actions affect other people besides himself.
Anybody see the trailer for next week?
Rory possibly kisses Jess. She at least goes to see him in Philadelphia. She's trying to get a handle on her feelings, I guess. The last person she loved was him, and maybe she's doubting her feelings for Logan. Of course, this is all speculation.
Oh, and I didn't like Milo's hair. It looked odd.

Why on Earth would Richard and Emily want to move to Stars Hollow?
I don't think Rory has forgiven Logan yet, judging from the way that she disappeared on him for three days and didn't answer his phone calls.

I'm wondering the same thing... I'm thinking they were planning to buy Luke and Lorelai a new house as a wedding gift... Could be why Richard and Emily were so interested in Lorelai's house and the remodeling that they were unaware of...
Of course this is just pure speculation on my part, but I also don't see why they'd buy a place for themselves.

It could be that they plan on buying a weekend place or something.

Like being in the diner when Lorelei isn't there and asking something along the lines of "So Luke, when do I get to meet my soon to be semi-step sister". Basically aim for her own in with the kid.
Firstly, that would help satisfy Rory's curiosity, and second it would sort of naturally lead to the involvement of Lorelei.
And I think that Luke would be less likely to automatically try to keep Rory and April separated.
For that mater, Rory could have just introduced herself to April's mom. Explain that she was curious so she stopped by. I imagine that April's mom would have been understanding.

I laughed at loud when Loralei answered the door mid-rant while her parents were there. The way he (Luke) turned around and ran when she whispered that Emily and Richard were there. Very funny and well done!!

On the first part--I think alot of the Valentine's episode was supposed to show how Logan helped Rory step out of her comfort zone--try new things, like *gasp* cooking and going to the gym! So I think they can be good for each other--but still, I am a little yucked:)
As for Milo's hair--yeah, what's with that? Yikes.

I too think that Richard and Emily are looking at houses for a wedding gift, it just sounds like something they would do, and I can't see them living in Stars Hollow even part time. As far as Rory and Logan go, I thought Rory went back to him kinf of quick. Watching that scene I did sort of have a "Friends" flashback, I was just waiting for Logan to blurt out "We were on a break!".

It could be that Richard and Emily might just be looking for an investment property. I don't think they'd ever think of moving there. No 'society' stuff for Emily and it's too far from Richard's office.

This show is losing its appeal to me. I hate Logan, (both the actor and the character on the show) and I have never seen Rory with him. Rory has always been very self-aware and secure, and the last two seasons she's turned into a mess who is making mistakes that I never thought the old Rory would make. I don't see the progression that caused it - it seems like a writing flaw to me.
She had a charmer, flake, playboy father and she has always realized his flaws, and now she is with a guy who she knows is a jerk like the father she warned her mother away from. The old Rory would have known better, I think.
I think the Luke and Lorelai story line is also out of character - I just don't believe Lorelei would not say anything to Luke about how this is bothering her, and I don't believe Luke would try to keep her away from his daughter.
I did like the Zack and Mrs. Kim scenes - it was very sweet. But, other than that, I had quite a different reaction to this show than the rest of you did.
The writers need to get back in the game, or I'm afraid they are going to start dropping helicopters on people soon.

As someone who was a lot like Rory - good kid, great student, etc - I can see how it can happen. You've been on the straight and narrow path, and when something suddenly changes your viewpoint, you're not sure what to do. You're suddenly having to find yourself and you're not quite sure how to go about doing it. You have a tendency to make bad choices because you don't trust your own judgement.
That's Rory at t his point in time.

Speaking of the scenes with Zach and Mrs Kim, shouldn't he have asked Mr Kim for permission to marry Lane? Eventhough we have never seen him (that I can remember) I know he exists because Lane has talked about him in the past.

Once Zach got past Mrs. Kim, Mr. Kim would have been a piece of cake. No point in showing that.
