I am so happy to hear that ABC will take this show if NBC does not pick it up for the fall.
This was a great episode. I love Dr. Cox's happy area. It was almost peaceful for me.

Honestly I thought this episode was pretty boring. The Todd is really funny though "im needed elsewhere".

"Actually, I love Cox."

'Ladies, Best conversation ever.' - The Todd

Definitly liked this episode. The lesson was tried and true and a bit predictable but overall fit.

I'm suprised Cox didn't do anything to get back at Elliot's boyfriend (can't think of his name at the moment).

How can this show be in danger of cancellation?!?! The humor is smart, the acting is good, and the show actually has some originality. Alas, they probably need to make room for some reality show dripping with banality.

Because none of that matters in the long-term. The only thing that matters is eyeballs. Those other things may matter in the short-term and help a new show stick around a bit longer, but no viewers no sticking around.

didn't they just win a bunch of awards?

I hope this is the last season to be honest. Each season is worse than the one before.

For no good reason, I want an "I LIKE SPORTS" T-shirt like Keith's.

Did the last two episodes air out of order? In the beginning of this ep, JD had the shaved head. But he shaved his head a couple of episodes ago and then in the most recent ep, where they find out Carla is pregnant, his head wasn't shaved. And there was no mention of Carla's pregnancy in this ep. Strange. I'll never understand why they air shows out of order when there is an obvious storyline that would get screwed up.

The shaved head in this episode was a flashback. Didn't he say a few months ago he shaved his head...

No, it started with the shaved head, and they were going to try everything to make the liver patient better. JD walked out of the room, and then the voiceover said, "but a month later..." and he came back in the room with hair. I think it was definitely aired out of order and I just don't understand why.

I think it was definitely aired out of orderI'm not sure how "I think it was" and "definitely" go together, but you're right.

According to The Futon Critic (http://www.thefutoncritic.com/cgi/showatch.cgi?id=scrubs&view=listings):
"My Extra Mile" (aired two weeks ago) was 515.
"My Chopped Liver" (aired last night) was 516.
"My Bright Idea" (aired a week ago) was 517.

2 things-

I liked how Jordan wanted to go out again with the Roofie couple! ;)

And I think Perry wouldn't have so many sea gulls in his happy place cuz they'll crap all over his Porshe!

Yeah, posting something to back it up would have been nice. Here it is, from another thread (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=294425):

CBS' The King of Queens and NBC's Scrubs are endangered only because of expiring contracts that threaten to dramatically increase their network price tags. Queens star Kevin James is looking for a big raise, and Scrubs' pact with NBC ends in May.

Don't worry, Scrubs fans: If a deal can't be worked out, the hospital comedy will land at comedy-starved ABC, whose Touchstone studio produces it, says executive producer Bill Lawrence.

ABC confirms its interest in adopting the show.

"We're not under any delusions of grandeur that the show's a giant hit," Lawrence says. "But one strength of being an odd Internet culty series is you have a loyal fan base; they follow you wherever."

Didn't "Teachers" premiere last week? My best guess is that NBC wanted an "event episode" of Scrubs to hype along with the premiere of Teachers right after, so they shuffled the order.

I didn't even notice, so I can't say it bothered me. JD growing a full head of hair back in a month, now that bothered me.

Season 5 of Scrubs is WEAK compared to 1-4. The low ratings are expected.

It was in the April 2nd USA Today "Save Our Shows" article. I was sitting at the barbar shop and read it.
It noted that ABC's Touchstone Pictures produces the show and would love to have it on ABC. It seems this year is the last of their contract. NBC is expecting a lot more money will needed to be paid to keep everyone in the show. Also more money to Touchstone to keep it on NBC.

I would try to give you the article but its archived now. I do not have any way to get it.

You're probably right.

Although, it's going to take a lot more for me to get onboard with Teachers than Carla getting pregnant.

If Scrubs goes over to ABC and the West Wing finishes it's season, I'm really not sure what else I watch on NBC besides I guess Las Vegas (which I heard also has rating problems). Bang up job you guys are doing there NBC.

My Name is Earl?
The Office?

It won't be Teachers for me though.
I watched this week's episode and thought that they were trying too hard to recreated the Scrubs dynamic (badly) between the two leads.

My Name is Earl - Eh. I haven't been hooked by it. I'm sure if you look in the Earl threads you'll see my responses. :)

The Office - I preferred the BBC version.

That's great! Because ABC has such an excellent track record with intelligent comedies *cough*Sports Night*cough*.
