7 Emmy nominations for the first season and nothing about the second season premiere?
I wondered that there was no thread started as well, but I hadn't finished watching it until last night. Fantastic episode! I saw it as a wonderful combination of humor in some scenes and tragedy in others.
My predition is Teddie survives somehow. They just can't get rid of him. He adds so much to the plot.
I could've done without three vomit scenes though. :down:
Loved the scenes with Izzy. She is still the best, but I love Byrd's drawl, especially when Izzy asked him if he wanted a drink and how old was he now..."25...." That was hilarious! Then when she admits she slept with Russell.
Speaking of Russell, I do think they kind of glossed over his injuries from the cliffhanger when he went down the steps at the end of the 1st season. Liked his scenes with Izzy; he might be slime, but she seems to bring out the good things in him. Loved when he asked her how long she had been drinking and she responded "decades..."
Scenes with the wife's dying mother were so sad...but good that they ended that with her sharing the joke with her husband. They really had you thinking she was going to give him a deathbed confession.
Great show! Glad to have it back [finally]!
