Anybody else notice the Idol Speculation S3 Giveaway? Estimated value of the S3 w/ lifetime subscription grand prize is $1500. $1500??? That puts the unit itself at well above $1000...

No, no one has noticed it, there haven't been a handful of threads on it, it was never explained that the estimated value was set by lawyers and has little to any relation to the real product. Nope, nothing.

That's a placeholder cost, established by lawyers. Pay no attention to the theoretical suggested retail cost for a product that's not yet for sale with a service option that will no longer be available when the product does go on sale. :)

Also, no one noticed that there was a strong hint in the official rules that the S3 might be delivered in September.
