Well I am about to moving into a new apartment (1st floor). And here is what I have, three TiVos, desktop and laptop (already wireless g). And I have looked into running CAT5 cable and mount RJ45 (CAT5) face plates, just wondering about my wireless options.

So if I went wireless how would the transfer rate be going either usb ethernet adapater into G bridge/game adapter versus downgrading wireless to WEP and using a TiVo G wireless adapter?

In my experience I've gotten comparable speeds using a wireless bridge with WPA versus TiVo's wireless adapter and WEP. I got tired of waiting for WPA which is why I'm going USB -> Wireless bridge. Either of the methods I've used is better than a typical compatible wireless adapter in terms of speed.
