Unit keeps rebooting itself!

Hello everyone. Its been a while since I visited this forum. I have a major problem. My HR10-250 keeps rebooting itself when recording shows! Often I come home from work ready to watch a recorded show and I lost 15 minutes in the middle of it!! DirecTV said they will replace it for free but they want a 2 year committment! I refuse to sign another 2 year committment with them after I have been with them for 3 years. Any suggestions or do I switch to Comcast....I am so frustrated with D*

You probably just need to replace the hard drive.

What's with the frustration ?
You've been a DIRECTV customer for 3 years so you must like their service. You'd probably have been a customer for at least another 2 years if all your equipment was working fine.

Maybe I missed something.
Did the phone rep. say you had to make a commitment to her and let her move in your place with you for 2 years ?
