Showtime has announced a second season (8 hours) of Sleeper Cell. I really enjoyed season 1 but was very surpised to hear this. It seemed like Season 1 was buried in December, but I think they have picked up quite a few viewers with the replays.
Minor cast spoiler in the link and in the comment below:

Oded Fehr will return. Considering he was arrested, how do you think his character will be involved?

One good thing about the 1st season is that they blew out all the episodes in a 2 week span, not trying to stretch them out over a month or two. I hope they don't try to milk these new 8 episodes out over a 3 month span.

Nice! I really enjoyed the first season.
Let's hope that the second season is just as nice.

I'm glad to hear this. I had been convinced that the first season of SC would be the last, especially since the DVD was labeled "Complete Series" instead of "Season 1"...

Fans of Showtime’s Sleeper Cell series about terrorists among us may not get much sleep themselves Dec. 10.
That’s the day the network will offer all eight episodes of the second season of the show on-demand, and it happens to be the same day the first episode of the second season premieres on the pay service’s evening schedule.
Showtime will become the first programmer to offer a full season of a series on-demand prior to all of the episodes being shown on the air.
this sucks for us DTVers

Will Sleeper Cell (broadcast, not VOD) be in HD? Was the first season?

if you mean on SHO HD yes, it's in HD. (i got confused with broadcast thinking nbc cbs etc)
at least it will be shown during one week, i can handle that except to clear off hard drive space lol

Great... this is just what I need during finals week. This show was so addicting last year, which was also during finals week.
Perhaps I'll use this as my study breaks.

I enjoyed the first season, and i was curious to see how they can pull another one off..
Tivo has been running a downloaded promo for it, and it looks like there will be some very interesting situations.
The girlfriend is back, as is oded & the bosnian
