This is something I've been working on for a while, let me know what you guys think!

I really should wait until the official announcement, but I'm so excited, and given all the leaks lately, I don't think anyone will mind if I let you guys know about it first.

Obligatory -- but it still can't tell me how much disk space is being used --- comment.

This opens the possibility of a whole new set of backdoor codes.

Does the release date of April 1st have any significance here? ;)

I think the release number was too much of a giveaway ... but you had me going for a minute.

Not so sure about the dance mat, but the "Blue Moon" post was a very good read.

I'd glady pay for a book on the history of TIVO.

Big heads up.

I ordered mine from Amazon 3 days ago already; my tracking # is 8675-309.

Hahha although I liked the entry "TiVo’s Blue Moon holiday — a walk down memory lane" and the OOBE experience better. OOBE has always been of interest to me since I work in the software industry.

as my dad always says, "that reminds me of a song"

This seems unfair to a certain group of kids who are... rhythmically challenged. How about adding an exercycle that runs a generator to power the box? Pedal too slow and the box freezes up until you restore the charge. Pedal fast enough and you get a two-minute break.

Get a celebrity endorsement and call it the "Lance Armstrong Edition TiVo." Trek can make the bike.

Beware, you guys! I was a beta-tester for this, and it is DANGEROUS!!!!! It's so addictive that I wound up losing my hand to carpal tunnel syndrome. Unfortunately, that was only after my wife left me for spending money on peanut remote after peanut remote. I lost my hand AND my marriage to this horribly addictive game! BEWARE!!!!!!!

That's more pathetic than the idea of TiVo TiVo Revolution.

I thought it was a bad idea, but you kinda had me until I got to the part about it shipping with all new units. I thought for *sure* the pads would cost extra!

Even though it is an April Fool's post, I think it would be a terrific idea If TiVo created a dance/dance revolution type of functionality that people could subscribe to.

TiVo's could come, perhaps, with 5 pre-set DDR-type tracks and then, in conjunction with a future on-demand service, people could order new tracks/dance thingies for a couple bucks each.

The DDR video games have been very profitable, I think it would be great if TiVo did this as a way of making money!

My thesis always has been that TiVo has to break from its fees-for-guide-data business model. This, alone, obviously isn't gonna make or break TiVo, but this is the kind of thinking they need to get TiVo out of its current business-model hole.

And, I think it could be quite popular since DDR is popular.

There is a serious grain of wisdom in this April Fool's joke!

Suddenly, I'm picturing using this feature with the Six Flags commercial (Venga Boys song).

You could do special things for songs with dances -- Macarena, Achy-breaky, Switch, The Hustle -- the potential is THERE!!!!

Working with my brother Harry, a music composer for Mind Control Software, I think we’ve put together a compelling package, even if I do say so myself.

This part has me VERY concerned.... :-)
