Tivo Series 2 over the Internet

I've searched around here but haven't found whether a standalone series 2 Tivo unit (mine is made by Tivo, not Directv).
Can it be accessed over the internet to control more than just adding a recording?
I'm looking for the ability to do most of the stuff done standing in front of it with the remote, but would like to add the same functionality over the internet.
Is this possible and if so, where's a link that discusses it?
