I have two Directv Tivo units and have notied a problem as of late. It seems that the Tivo service is dropping certain programs. I've had Season Passes setup for a couple of programs lately to only have them not record. You go to check why and you are told the program was not on at the specified time, but it is.
Example: I have the Heist set up for a season pass and it was set to record last week, but it did not and I checked the upcoming episodes and it had disappeared from the list as being on and set itself to record for this Monday. It was on! For some reason it dropped it all together even though it was actually on.
Example 2: I have a season pass set for the Medium. I can go to Recording History and see that an episode won't record and it says because the season pass has changed or someone has elected to not record it.....this is not the case. I went to the TV Guide to check that episode and it is indeed on, but it you check the season pass manager for the upcoming episodes....that episode is not coming on and for that fact.......no episodes are listed for channel 11 at all, but they are going to show.
One night I came home and wondered why it wasn't recording a show of mine and when I checked it said that it was not on at all, but was clearly on when I turned it on and checked. Tivo had removed the episode all together.
Why is TIVO getting so sloppy lately?
