I have an 80 hr 540 series 2 Tivo. (have a 40hr 540 and 80hr 240 as well that don't exhibit this problem)
My other TiVos update show the "please wait, this could take a minute" for maybe 30-90 seconds, tops if I move stuff around or make changes to the Season Pass menu. This 80hr unit though can literally take 10-15 minutes! In fact, yesterday, after I change a show from "basic" to "medium" quality and pressed OK, the TiVo crashed - screen went black, then rebooted. The change was not saved. I made the change again after the reboot. It took maybe 2 minutes to accept. Then I moved that program up one notch on the list and again, 10-15 minutes.
There aren't but about 15-20 programs on the season pass list, not any more than my other units. It seems like a database corruption. Any end user fix short of wiping the unit and starting from scratch?
