How do i upgrade my Tivo Hard Drive

I have a series 2 Tivo. I got the Humax DR t400 (40 gig). I want to upgrade the hard drive to 300 or 400 GB, How can i do that? I know how to change the hard drive on my computer, but i think with TIVO it is harder? is there a web site that explains this? I also want to know if there are only particular hard drives i can use. I was going to go for the maxtor or Western digital.
Last, I have an extra USB post on the back of the tivo, can i use that to add an external hard drive?

I haven't heard of a DVR 22.
Anyhow, see the Upgrade forum stickies for how to upgrade TiVo powered DVRs.

Once you get the hang of the comnad line tools, it will be easy.

I favor WD and Samsung drives. Seagate are good I suppose. You cannot upgrade capacity with the USB port on the DVR.
